Unique Women’s Seminar for the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce in October 2001 at the Royal York Hotel – the first of its kind in Toronto – entitled “Opportunities and Challenges faced by South Asian women in Business and Profession.” The Chief guest was Hon. Eleanor Caplan, then Minister for Citizenship and Immigration. Panel speakers included Senator Mobina Jaffer amongst other prominent women business leaders.

A special IT event at the King Edward Hotel in 2002 in Toronto focusing on ‘Future Trends and Direction’ of the IT Industry. After the big boom, hundreds of dot.com companies went out of business and, with thousands of layoffs in this industry, there was a need to address the issue of future of IT trends and direction. Speakers included representation from Minister Jim Wilson, Minister of Energy, Science and Technology, who provided information on the services and programs available for IT companies in Ontario. Other speakers included Dr. Eugene Fiume, Head of IT at University of Toronto and Mr. Arup Gupta, Head of Tata Consultancy Services, Americas.
